Walking in the garden this morning with the smell of rain still fresh in the air, it is amazing how a good downpour can revitalize the garden.  Everything is fresh and clean and everywhere there the plants are showing their appreciation with new shoots and growth.   At last the summer rains have arrived and they couldn’t have come at a better time with the dry weather we have had lately taking their toll on our gardens.  With the soaking rains our gardens will come back to life and be a paradise of vibrant lush foliage and colourful blooms.  We can water all we want with tap water but it still does not compare to the difference that a good downpour makes to our gardens.  After the rain there is some very important tasks we can do in the gardens that will save us a lot of time later on.  Not sure where to start?  Have a look at our article on gardening after the rain.
